The Indus Valley Civilization began to decline around 1800 BCE. Archaeological evidence indicates that trade with Mesopotamia, located largely in modern Iraq, seemed to have ended. The advanced drainage systems and baths of the great cities were built over or blocked.

The Indus Valley Civilisation had highly advanced drainage or sewer systems. They had individual channels from each house which connected to a main drain and drained out. This was super-advanced for thei Era.

They also had Baths and Granaries. They also had well developed administration. They had the Citadel where the officials lived and the other areas where common people lived.

These features made the Indus Valley Civilisation advanced.
