why industry is more important than matiaining balance of nature

because as we have moved very forward living with the technology so that we can not stop it so industry is more important than maintaining balance in nature .either we can think of making resources that do not affect the nature. we can use the renewable sources of energy and can do a lot to save the environment 
the sources of energy we can use are solar tidal wind energy etc
