In general insects consist of 6 legs or 3 pairs of legs.
Spiders on the other hand consist of eight legs or four pair of legs which make them look different from other insects and one can easily differentiate between the two.
Spiders also do not contain the antenna like many insects which is a major difference between the two in terms of their physical appearance.
