The International Date Line is an imaginary zig zag line on the surface of the earth roughly following the 180 degree meridian. Crossing the date line causes the date to be changed exactly by one day. Crossing the line from East to West , one loses a day . ... The International Date Line does not exist.

Answer:

Explanation:The international Date

line is not a straight line. Though it follows 180°meridian of longitude for it's distance,it goes in a zigzag way in some places. To avoid land and to leave island groups wholly on the one side of the line,it bends in some places; viz., in Bering Strait between Siberia and Alaska, in mid-southern Pacific between Fiji and Tonga islands up to New Zealand.
