Why intestinal villi are highly vascular?

The large number of villi give the internal intestinal wall a velvety appearance. ... The surface of these folds contains tiny projections called villi and microvilli, which further increase the total area for absorption. Absorbed nutrients are moved into circulation by blood capillaries and lacteals, or lymph channels.

Hey mate

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
•Villi are small finger like projection present in our intestine for increasing surface area for absorption.
• They are highly vascular means they are supplied with blood vessels.
Due to abundance of blood vessels there is abundant blood supply
•This would ensure more absorption of digested food in intestine.
• They are also very useful for cell nutrition. They also provide nutrition to cells with the help of blood capillaries.
•So for providing proper nutrition to cells and for more and more absorption of food they are rich in blood vessels i.e highly vascular
Hope it helps
