iPhones are not bad, they are strong, waterproof, have a good camera, etc. but the main point to keep in mind is that Apple charges around thrice the manufacturing cost of on iPhone. Most of the people buy Apple products not because of their capabilities but for "status" or "showoff". Companies like Xiaomi, Asus, or Realme have a really low profit margin. iPhones are more popular because people think that more expensive is better. Even if Apple keeps the profit of 25% - 50%, then too it will be value for that money. I am not saying that it's not worth buying but I am saying that it's overpriced. Apple did much to decrease the manufacturing cost in order to increase the profit but it could have done it to lower the price of their already expensive phones.
For example: Most of the iPhones are manufactured in Taiwan for cheaper labour cost. The manufacturing cost of the processors are even lower because Apple make them itself so it's cheaper for them.
