➡ It is happening because of the light present in the atmosphere. The size of pupil is increased when there is more sunlight nd its size reduced in the late night.
It is based on the phenomenon of light..

the iris contact at night time in the search of light the pupils become larger to search light. But during the day time as their is light of the sun the pupil relax at day time.
