Iron displace the copper from copper sulfate solution.

Displacement reaction will occur when iron fillings are added to the copper sulfate solution. The perfect reason for this reaction is that the Iron is more reactive than the copper with sulfate solution. Copper sulfate solution will become as a ferrous sulfate solution as a result of the reaction.

The reaction for the above description is

Fe(s) + CuSO₄ (aq) → FeSO₄(aq) + Cu (s)
