WHY IS 1/Y-1 NOT A POLYNOMIAL?

= 1¹/(y-1)¹

= 1¹ × (y-1)^-1

Here we can observe that the degree of the polynomial is -1 i.e negative integer

Therefore the given expression is not a polynomial.
