Punjab saw the fiercest and bloodiest fights in the historical backdrop of Punjab amid the period when the Mughal rule was aroused and remote intrusions amid the period 1716 - 1765 AD. 

Execution of Banda Bahadur, the triumphant race which began from 1708 with the rising of Banda Bahadur by Guru Gobind Singh Ji finished with his execution by the Mughal rulers in 1716. 

From 1716-1726, Abdus Samad Khan proceeded with the policy of concealment to crush Sikhs totally. Ruler Farukh Shiar had effectively requested for it.
