why is - 273°K is known as absolute zero?

Its not the absolute zero.

Absolute zero is -273.15 °C or 0 K.

It is said so,because at this temperature all the processes stops (means everything freezes).

Because in this temp. every gas particle are suddenly stop.It is originally 273.15K. All the rule of gas and process are stop in this temp.

and it is -273K not -273°K.
