A refracting telescope uses twoconvex lenses to magnify images in the sky. A reflecting telescope uses a concave mirror, a plane mirror, and aconvex lens to do the same job. Amicroscope, like a reflecting telescope, uses a concave mirror, a plane mirror, and a convex lens.
