If transportation and communication facilities are top notch, it will influence the economy to grow.  Raw materials need to be transported to industries and likewise the finished goods need to reach the market for economy to thrive. In case of perishable goods, the transport needs to be even more quicker and efficient. Transport is also vital in moving labour from the area of supply to area of demand. Transportation abets industrialization and urbanization.
