It is not very good at all to think that a girl child is a burden. Not only today before it is also happened and people had not protested it and today also we don't protest. It is because old people thought that girls will not do any work outside they will only do their house work and serve them for their husbands but it is really not what a man can do a woman can also do it. People think that only men can do everything. Many tortures happened to women in previous age only Raja Rammohan Roy went against the Hindu Brahmins and stood with the girls who have to be buried with their husbands in Sati. Many things happened with us.

yes, girl childis considered as burden in many places in past but now people thinking is changing day by day . They think that they cant do any work . They can only do household works .
They are also considered burden because people have to also do their marriage in future . In which their is many wastage of miney . And they think that only boys can do work . But government has launched many policues. to save the girl child .
