why is a large number of children and old is population considered a burden ? ans should be on 5 points

Our society has changed now.earlier old age persons and children were life of the people .people like living with them. due to increase materialism people start thinking them as burden as both didn't do work which can support their family economically. both are dependend on the other family member for their daily work. so some of the people thought so for them.but it is wrong.

population of ageing and children is considered a burden as it is harmful for economic growth due to the decline in labour participation rate and its negative effect is significantly magnified through the increase in social security tax and the slowdown in productivity growth. The children come in minor category and old age people dont have the efficient to work for the development of country.
