why is a long and thin filament used up in a bulb

charandatt: A single one is seen in our bulbs because it can resist the heat and give enough lighting.We can find more filaments in big bulbs or light is stadiums

A long and thin filament is used in bulbs because it has high melting point so that it won't get melted soon because of the heat provided by the bulb and helps the bulbs to get more life.
