First of all tungsten is a metal. We use Tungsten in the filament of bulbs because, it is durable(property by which metals are drawn into wires), and is very hard or rigid. Another advantage of using tungsten is thatt when we heat it, a white flame is produced which gives us light. Thus , tungsten is used to make the filament of bulbs.

hope it helped.....☺️
