Nuclear fusion is the kind of reaction where two light atoms are combined to form a heavy atom , because of which a tremendous energy is released.
Specially hydrogen atoms are combined to fill the valence and to make it as helium . Since large amount of heat is produced so it is called thermonuclear reaction.
