That stick residue or substance is called Honeydew. This honey dew in some communities it is a delicacy where as in other communities it is an abomination to eat such. It is usually brownish in color, shiny like honey and usually sticks on bamboo trees. Ut can be removed with just bare hands or by scrapping them off with a spoon.
