Answer:

1. Abbreviation is formed from the original word brevis. Brevis is a Latin word which means short of any other word, phrase or even sentences. These are formed as per the convenience of the language users.

Brevis got a prefix ‘ad’.. which means towards and then ‘ated’ was added to show past tense. The past tense tells us it is already shortened.

2.  Number of vowels in a word is equal to number of syllables. ... That's why there are five syllables in it. The syllabic division is mo-no-sy-lla-bic

3. With phonetic languages, there is a direct relationship between the spelling and the sound. It is important to understand that English is not a phonetic language. So we often do not say a word the same way it is spelled.

4. Because carrots contain more beta-carotene (which is converted in the body to Vitamin A). A class of chemicals called carotenoids creates many of the bright pigments in plants in the yellow-red range. Beta-carotene is a bright orange color. Carrots are well-known for their beta-carotene content, while oranges are not.

5. Hawaii's major highways became Interstates as part of The Dwight D. Eisenhower System of Interstate and National Defense Highways, designed to protect the U.S. from a Soviet invasion by making it easier to get supplies from one military base to another.

6. So there's the connection between parks and parkway, but why do we drive on them? Parkways were the perfect places to drive a carriage down for a scenic jaunt out. Once automobiles came on the scene, parkways became the province of the car.

Driveway came into written use a bit earlier than parkway did. Unlike parkway, the word driveway didn't refer to where the path was (a drive), but what the path was for (driving). The earliest driveways were roads that ran alongside barns, where vehicles like wagons could drive up and either offload cargo

7. The word “apartment" comes from the French word appartement and the Italian word appartimento, both of which mean “a separated place."  Even though all the apartments within a single building are indeed stuck together, they are also apart from each other.

8. Scientists call it research when looking for something new as they go on, researching new ideas or thoughts or inventions.

9. The problem with using “built” is that outside of its use as a verb it serves as an adjective. An example of this is the “built environment” which is commonly used to refer to all human made structures and their human modified surroundings.

10. Think of cargo as something that is currently being shipped. And take shipped to mean "carried by some type of long-distance conveyance" . A shipment usually refers to the process of moving goods. Cargo has a possessive implication as in the cargo of a ship or a truck's cargo.

11. Humanitarians are generally, omnivores therefore, they eat both plants and animals.

12. Price and worth are definitely not the same thing. Price is just a number. Worth is the value it has. If you're a gamer think about all the games that you bought used. Was it worth the full price? No, so you bought it used. Because you saw the price too high for the worth.

13. It is meaning. The state of being a synonym is called synonymy.

14. Yes, it is possible
