Abul Fazl was also one of the Nine Jewels of Akbar's royal court. he was considered the ablest writer of the time. Ain-i-Akbari' and 'Akbarnama' were written by Abul Fazal. They contain detailed document recording the administration of emperor Akbar's empire. He also wrote Ruqaʿāt which is a collection of private letters from Abū al-Fażl to his friends and contemporaries.
