Hey,
You can simply say that a triangle is an isosceles triangle if its two opposite sides of a triangle are equal or if the angles of those sides are equal.
Eg: In the given figure,
AB = BC
(OR)
∠A = ∠C
If one of these statements is given or proved then the triangle with no doubt will be an isosceles triangle.
