Ethyne is more acidic than ethane because

a)ethane has a single bond between the carbons whereas etyne has a triple bond between the carbons which increases bond polarity between C-H in ethyne and the hydrogen can easily be released when compared in ethane.

b) in ethyne the C is SP hybridised whereas in ethane carbon is SP3 hybridised and as the percentage of s orbital increases electonegative character increases and hence hydrogen can easily be released in ethyne
