Why is acrilic fibre preferred over wool

as acrylic is cheaper and doesn't much animal fur

here is ur answer ..
.... Acrylic is less expensive and cheaper (lesser quality) than wool. Wool takes a long time to be ready for market where as acrylic is a synthetic that is easily mass produced. It’s just like the difference between grass fed cattle/sheep getting ready for market and feed lot cattle/sheep that are fed grain and other non grass feed to get them fattened up and at market weight faster.
