⏩ Actinoid contraction is greater then lanthanoid cintraction bcoz the 5f electrons are mire effectively shielded from nuclear charge.

Hello,
Because in actinoides the 5f orbitals are involved which has lesser sheilding energy than the 4f orbitals in the lanthanide.due to which ,the outer orbital in actinoides is more tightly attracted to the nucleus,(effective nuclear charge on electrons increases)
Hence resulting in greater contraction.
Hope that helps.
