Aids are called as a fatal disease because it destroys the ‘immune system’ of the body.

Explanation:

  • ‘Acquired Immune Deficiency syndrome’ is the disease that is caused by Human immune deficiency disease that attacks the immune cells of one’s body.
  • When the body’s defence mechanism fails the body is pushed to a fatal condition even by the infection of a slightest pathogen.
