Why is AIDS considered a syndrome and not a disease

it is not a disease. .it decrease the human immunity and cause addition of disease.

AIDS is considered a syndrome because all the HIV does is weaken the immune system by attacking the T-cells and the subsequent symptoms that a person develops is due to disease a person sustains due to impaired immune system. So, AIDS itself does not have any symptoms.
