The respiratory mechanisms of terrestrial and aquatic bions are air and water apiece. Aquatic animals receive oxygen fluxed in the water while earthly animals obtain oxygen from meteorological air. The oxygen content of water is much lower than the oxygen content of the air. Accordingly, the ventilation in the air is much easier than water. The main reason for this is that water is impassable than air. Therefore, it may be said that air is a better respiratory means than water.
