Answer:-

  • Air is a homogeneous mixture because Homogeneous mixture are those mixtures which has uniform composition .

  • Homogeneous mixtures do not show Tyndall effect.

  • Air is also a mixture of gaseous as it is primarily made up of nitrogen and oxygen.

  • It's elements are not readily separated or distinguished from one another .

  • The particles of air are very small that means you cannot see it to the naked eye.

  • Air also doesn't show Tyndall effect. That is why Air is considered as homogeneous mixture.

Characteristics of homogeneous mixture.

  • Homogeneous mixture has uniform composition.
  • It has only one phase
  • It cannot be separated out physically
  • Components of homogeneous mixtures are not visible to the naked eye
  • Examples :- saline solution , Honey, steel.
