Akbar was called Akbar the great because he followed every religion as he married a kacchwa emperor daughter and he fight many battle he even administration was good at that time

Jalaluddin Mohammed Akbar or Akbar the Great

A great ruler of medieval times who ruled during the 1500’s  was of a very young and tender age when he had to take the reign, that his father had left for him, into his hands.He was named as Akbar the great because of the reforms that he implied during his Reign which made him a well known and accepted ruler of his time.  

The inhumane cultures that had been prevailing before him by the other Mughal rulers was banned and new reforms were put over by him  even though he was disliked  buy some people in his own community for bringing up gentle reforms.

Some of the reforms that were formed during his reign were:

  • Removal of tax on Hindus for travelling to their pilgrimages.
  • Marrying a princess outside his own community.
  • Prohibiting the custom of selling the wives and children of prisoners of War, to  their highest bidders, by releasing them free.
