why is all water, that is available, not fit for human use?

all water that is available is not fit for human use BECAUSE of salty water,polluted water covers a large area . only 1 percent is fresh water which comes from galicers.

of the 3% of total water available on earth is fit for human consumption. rest of 97% water is in seas, rivers and stored in glaciers..
