Answer: Alloys are mixture of metals. These metals when mixed undergo passive film formation. Basically, the corrosion is oxide formation and this film protects the surface of the alloys from getting corroded. This film formation might also be the result of electrochemical reactions which are usually the methods of reducing the corrosion of metals.
