Why is alluvial soil known as the most important soil in India?

it is the most fertile soil that is suitable for growing rice, wheat, sugarcane and some other pulses. the reason that it is very fertile that it is formed by the deposition of sand, silt and clay by thebig rivers and since it is found in a large part of india so it is agricultararly most productive region. so it is known as the most important soil in india.
