why is aluminium smelting industry close to power sector? describe other important factors necessary for location of aluminium smelting industry. why is this industry gaining importance? give reasons.

Because aluminium industry involves making of aluminum from very complex processes.
This industry is gaining importance because it is light resistance to corrosion a good conductor heat malleable and becomes strong when mixed with other metals.
Regular supply of electricity and an assured source is raw material at minimum cost are main factors.
