why is an electric bulb hot to touch when it has been switched on for a while. please give me brife ans

Hello mate,
Yes,if we touch electric bulb that has been kept switched on for some times, it will be hot..
becoz.....electric bulb glows due to the heating effect of electric current......
so the filament gets hot thus making the bulb also warm.......

Because in a electric bulb the wires are made up of tungestun which is a metal.And having an high melting point so, when we touch the we feel hot.
