Equitable distribution or resources is required because:
1. there will be continuous flow of sufficient resources to every section of the society
2. resources will not be exploited at the hands of a few persons
Forces acting against it:
1. accumulation of resources at the hands of a few people
2. limited amount of resources in nature

Equitable distribution of resources is essential in society in order to eliminate the difference between rich and poor in the society to reduce poverty .Excessive consumption of the resources by few people who have power in hand results in exploitation of resources so in order to stop this equitable distribution of resources is necessary. It helps to achieve the motive of sustainable development .
The forces which prevents this distribution:
1.Distribution of natural resources in the hands of few people results in equal distribution of resources.
2.The implementation of equal distribution of resources is difficult as it is subjective in nature changes from one society to another.
