why is any number divided by zero equal to infinity?

We know that 0 multiples any no it gets 0 only.
for eg.:
0×1=0,0×100=0.etc.
there fore if any number divedes it we can get only a value undefined because 0 divides 1 r 2r 3 r 100.etc.we cant get 100 in multiples of zero .
so the values will be undefined
