Apple is called false food because it is develop from the thalamus and we know that if a part of flower other than ovary froms a part of fruit so it is called false food.Hence, apple is also know as false food.

The fruit of banana is formed from ovary. So ,it should called true food but it is called parthenocarpic food because it developed into fruit without fertilization.
