• Ashoka was named to be a unique ruler as he was the first ruler who tried to
take forward his message to people through inscriptions wherein he described
his change in belief and thought after the Kalinga War.
• He is the only king in the history who gave up conquest after winning a war.
• He followed a religious policy of his own and formulated the famous policy of
Dhamma.

Ashoka was considered a great ruler because of his peace logo e waste a destructive war against the state of Kalinga and conquered it with none of his ancestor could but after seeing the destruction made by the war he decided to never again fight war he started following Buddhism spreading the teaching of dhamma
