This part of India have high rainfall during the monsoon period. The daytime temperature rises whuch creates extreme humidity and heat. This tropical climate contributes to Assam's unique taste, a feature for which this tea is well known. There are more than 100 tea estates in Assam ,which are under the agriculture of tea crop. The tea estates are spread across an area of 2,16,2000 hectares. Hence Assam is known as land of tea gardens.
