atomic number is either the number of protons or electrons because the number of electrons is equal to the number of protons present in any atom.

Hope it helps :)

Atomic Number is always the no.of protons as the no. of electrons change during chemical reaction and the no.of protons do nof change during a chemical reaction

tanisha00010: Sorry guys i am unable to edit my ans. but the spelling of not is wrong and there is a correction in the question afreen714 electrons are present outside ghe nucleus of an atom and not inside
tanisha00010: electrons revolve around the nucleus of an atom
