During hybridization, bagging of emasculated flower is important to avoid its contact with the foreign pollen.
Bagging is a process of covering flower’s head with some bag or branch to protect it from foreign pollen and pollinators. Emasculation is followed by bagging in which desired pollen gains are introduced to flower.
