Barren Island is an island located in theAndaman Sea, dominated by Barren Volcano, the only confirmed active volcano in South Asia, and the only active volcano along a chain of volcanoes from Sumatra to Myanmar.[7] Along with the rest of the Andaman Islands, it is a part of the IndianUnion Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and lies about 138 km (86 mi) northeast of the territory's capital, Port Blair.

Barren island which was considered a dormant volcano has become active since february 2017

mainly dust,smoke and mud are coming out of this eruption along with some lava

during this eruption, the lava is spread around the mouth of this vent, when it comes out

as a result ,cone-shaped mountain starts forming
