Why is benzene is unsoluble in water but soluble in toluene ?

but in case of toluene density is not higher than benzene therfore it is soluble

Benzene is non-polar, therefore it is insoluble in water(polar solvent) . Whereas it is soluble in Toulene which is non-polar solvent i. e non polar compounds are soluble in non - polar solvents and polar compounds are soluble in polar solvents.
