why is benzene not considered as triene

All of the carbon-carbon bonds of benzene have the same length and the pi elctron system is continuous and uniformly distributed....so.yo conclude discharge all current other answers to this question telling you cyclohexa-1,3,5-triene is the systematic or even the IUPAC name of benzene:it is not.

The benzene molecule is not considered as a triene because:

- Benzene is a cyclic compound.

- In benzene molecule, all the bonds have the same length, so we cannot decide the positions.

- Moreover, all the π- electrons are delocalised uniformly in the ring making it impossible to consider it a triene.

- Apart from these, there are many other differences between benzene and alkenes.

- Hence, we cannot consider benzene molecule as a triene.
