Why is black colour of copper oxide changes to bluish green if reacted with dilute hydrochloric acid?

because it is non metal and it does not displace iron from copper

Answer:During the reaction copper oxide reacts with dilute hydrochloric acid to form cupric chloride. The formation of cupric chloride results in the change in the colour from black to blusih green. CuO(black) + dil.2HCl → CuCl2 (bluish green)+ H2O
