Blood is called "a liquid tissue" , because -
• In the field of biology, the tissue is a group of cells which have similar functions to do in the body of a living organism.
• Now,the blood is also made out of large number of similar kind of cells and the functions of these blood cells are also similar.
• So,the blood has all the necessary qualities to be a tissue and ofcourse it is liquid. That's why we call blood as "a liquid tissue".
