The causes of high blood pressure in kids can differ, depending on a child's age. The younger the child, the more likely the high blood pressure is linked to an illness. In babies, it's usually caused by prematurity or problems with the kidneys (this is most common), lungs, or heart.

The excessive pressure on your artery walls caused by high blood pressure can damage your blood vessels, as well as organs in your body. The higher your blood pressure and the longer it goes uncontrolled, the greater the damage.

blood pressure is greater in adults than the blood pressure in children because with passage of time or increase in age the blood carring veins also become thin and old so blood cloting and other problems related to circulation of blood in adults keep on increasing . but in children as the are always playing and have active body movement and also due to the small age the frequency of blood pressure don't highly fluctuate. so risk of blood related problems like cloting, heart attack increases with age.

Exceptions of this also exists....

that's all I know....
