Why is boiling point of tap water did not reach exactly 100°c?

Actually tap water boils at a temperature slightly more than 100°C at sea level. This is because tap water contains certain dissolved minerals and impurities which are responsible for the slight elevation in it's boiling point. I hope this answers your question!
