As bronze metal is harder and more malleable in nature it is used to make statues. It also has the property of ductility and can easily be shaped into a statue. Therefore, bronze is used for making statues than copper.

Metal bronze has the property of being ductile and hence can be easily shaped into statues.

  • Bronze is also an harder and more malleable metal than Copper, thus it builds more resistance in statues,
  • As statues are generally kept in open environments, they are subjected to water and air, that may lead to corrosion. Since is bronze is an alloy,it therefore resists corrosion and is more suitable.
  • Another reason is that bronze is readily available and is comparatively cheaper than Copper.
